As one of the only few people who thinks that hummus is overrated…I do have to sing my praises for tahini. The versatility of this sesame paste is just fantastic and having a pot in the fridge is easily becoming an everyday essential. From salad dressings to sauces, I am loving its nutty flavour, dense texture, and versatility.
Looking for a quick starter or canapé to wow friends (or to just shovel down, alone, in front of the Ozarks, with a beer in hand) …then this 5 min dish is worth whipping up.
Variations: Add a small dollop of Villa Mama’s mabooch (a local chilli spice blend) on it or a cornichon.
