From booji Italian restaurants to low key Iraqi cafs, Fifi likes to try them all!
If you haven't tried @memah_and_me yet, then it's the perfect place to sit and linger over a meal. Nestled into the Hamala strip, this comfy Iraqi restaurant specializes in hearty, home-made dishes.
We tucked into Quzi Memah, a deliciously comforting rice and saffron dish with slow cooked lamb shank, saffron sauce, nuts, barberries and topped with crispy onions. Then moved on to over the Ghormeh Sabzi, a slow cooked herb stew with beans and lamb cubes.
How to end the meal? With some ruby coloured Iraqi tea and for the sweet toothed, some cinnamon focaccia. Verdict…this place is going to be a regular haunt for sure.
