Does anyone love exploring the world through their stomach?
Well, if you do then it’s time to head to what I believe is Bahrain’s only Vietnamese restaurant.
Opened about barely a couple of years ago, this is one of my favourite cheap eats’ spots in Adliya. A small outdoor area awaits diners, a welcome tea, and friendly staff.
We started with fresh spring rolls; wafer thin rice wrappers encase fresh veggies, herbs, chicken, and shrimp. All accompanied with a tangy fish sauce dip.
Next up was the beef pho which saw me slurping away on the tender meat, fragrant broth, herbs and hints of chilli and lime.
Lastly and easily the piece de resistance was the Banh Xeo. A rice flour pancake filled with shrimp, chicken, beansprouts, and crispy onions.
For ease it’s numbers 4, 8, 20 on the menu.
Oh, and if you’re making a travel bucket list for this year, make sure to add Vietnam to it too. It won’t disappoint.
UPDATE 2023: This restaurant has moved to a new location in Juffair
