Eating breakfast out is always a fun activity in Bahrain, with a multitude of cuisines, prices, and styles to choose from. Karak tea and some local flatbread for a few pennies or an Eggs Benedict from an upscale restaurant, you get to choose.
Here are some of my favourite breakfast spots right now:
Westside
Hopscotch: a popular Saar eatery they breakfast (and all-day menu) is temptingly good. Definitely worth the driver over.
Nuovo: a new addition to the island, serving all day breakfast. Read more about this gem here.
Central
Oak: located in Riffa this sunlit restaurant has some creative dishes for breakfast including my favourite Halloumi Eggs.
Popina: Get yourselves down to this spot in the Salmabad Farmer's Market, to try a creative take on eggs, a friendly team and a great pit stop after you load up on groceries.
North
Baker & Spice: Part of a British chain this contemporary, wood decorated restaurant is an ideal Seef stop for paired back dishes, including their seeded Avocado Toast.
Angelina Paris: if you’re looking for a decadent Eggs Benedict or Parisian twist to an Avocado toast then head to this French outpost of Angelina. Located in both The Avenues and Adliya.
Eastside
Areesh: when we’re over in Amwaj this Lagoon spot is perfect for a Lebanese breakfast. Choose from a range of tempting dishes like Foul, Eggs, Falafel, and freshly baked breads.
