A new Argentinian Empanada spot has opened in Adliya and I was eager to try it out.
After a nip in the next door salon, Fifi was feeling might peckish (nothing unusual there)... and after spotting the signs for the next door Argentinian spot I popped in for a look around. Opened around May this year, Al Sur Argentinian food offers a range of Empanadas.
These traditional pastry filled bites are stuffed with a variety of options. My suggestion, try the Date & Chicken and the Blue Cheese & Pear. Then opt for some Medialunas, an enriched bread that translates as 'half moon', making them the Argentinian take on a French croissant. Why not get the ham & cheese, as well as the plain option to try out too.
I could barely keep my excitement and munched on mine while driving (the perfect pocket size food), and will certainly be ordering them in on Talabat next time I have friends over.
Welcome to Bahrain, Al Sur Empanadas, we're happy to have you here!
