I finally made it to Al Dana Amphitheatre for British stand-up comedian Michael McIntyre (thank you for the tip to take my own cushion…it was a much needed touch of comfort). Before we hit the show, I popped into The Quarry for a drink and look around.
This new, vast underground bar and restaurant is built into the rock and has a beautiful exposed ‘quarry’ wall as a main feature. The vibe is dark, sleek and cool with a bar that flanks the central area.
Head to this Zallaq spot for live music and shows, nightly from Wednesday through to Saturday. We only nibbled on a cheese board (great selection) and some unusual sounding fermented fries on our visit, however I would be keen to go back for a dinner and show experience. My only qualm after perusing the menu, it needs a few more nibbles and finger foods for those wanting a small bite with their drink pre-show
