Time is not on our side (as every Bahrain resident knows!)
You need to be enjoying this cool breeze, the warm rays the ease of sitting outside…. because come June, we’ll be back to peeling our sweaty clothes off us.
So, before that happens a great place to head to is the new (ish) restaurant extension of Solymar. You don’t have to pay an exorbitant beach fee to enter, just tell them you’re there to dine and head to this picturesque white walled, Greek style spot for a bite and a drink.
I could have easily tried everything on the menu which is packed with fresh looking salads, mezze, and grills.

I also spotted a few of my other faves on the menu including Taramasalata, Greek marinated anchovies, octopus carpaccio and whitebait (maridakia).
