(Lebanese) Friends have been telling me about a few under the radar places to eat at in Bahrain. Places that are low key but serve up a punch. I’ve done my hungry fifi research, eaten at them all and can’t wait to share…
Rosemary Gourmet: Located in an unassuming Seef shopping block, this spot serves up excellent Lebanese food. I sat outside, enjoying the gorgeous weather, and tried some of their breakfast dishes including the Awarma Eggs (confit), indulgent aubergine Moutabel and Batata Harra (potatoes). Here.
Naya: Another Seef spot, Naya has wholesome dishes including Kibbeh bi Labban, Sheesh Barak, a creative basil pesto hummus and plenty of Manaeesh.
Al Bairoty: We enjoyed some excellent sandwiches from this spot, including juicy Falafels with Cheese Sandwich and a Hummus with Pickles Sandwich too, and of course more Moutabel (can you tell I love aubergine!). Don’t hesitate to try them out. Here.
Beirut Gardens: This Adliya spot is tucked on a quieter back street and has a covered outdoor area with seating. Head here for a stop in the shop to pick up your oils, spices and more. Then grab a chair and order some of their hearty dishes, like hummus, falafels or their generous breakfast platters.
Looking for something fancier? But still Lebanese cuisine? Then check out this top Adliya spot.
