Where To Watch The World Cup

Top Picks in Bahrain

We are days away from the World Cup and I’ve dedicated myself to finding the best spots to watch the matches in Bahrain. I’ve only included places with alcohol, because frankly a beer is a requirement for watching the footie if you ask me!

Ô Liban

O Liban are going all out for the World Cup with screens on both floors, in their private rooms (why not host a private screening with friends?) and on their outdoor terrace. Kick back with an Almaza beer, mezze and more as you support your favourite team.

Vida Hotel

Vida are hosting a fantastic World Cup viewing, with 3 very large outdoor screens and lots of offers. My inner gambler self loves the idea of the ‘daily predict & win’ with prizes, 50% off for ladies on F&B for Monday games, wear your team’s jersey to get 15% off as well as group discounts.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain

You can never go wrong with the The Ritz-Carlton! La Plage has 2 outdoor screens and non members are welcome after sunset. Huzzah!

Reef Island

Both Chez Alain & Fumar will have outdoor screens, perfect if you want a view of the sea, a shisha and a bite as well.

Westin Hotel

Westin have launched the ‘Nasmat Arena’ for the World Cup. There is both indoor & outdoor seating plus food, alcohol and sheesha packages available. They are releasing the details soon.

The Foundry

The Foundry will be putting screens in their 1st floor bar, so head here for excellent cocktails, addictive bar bites (jalapeno poppers anyone?) and to cheer for your favourite team.

Cinepolis

Slight exception to my alcohol only places ( I would never encourage you to take a flask with you ;)) but Cinepolis cinema are showing the games on the big screen. Check out the details here.

McGettigans

If you’re after a proper beer garden then look no further than McGettigans. They will have 12 large screens to view the matches on, and I am sure a good atmosphere to boot.

Lanterns/LNT

Both Lanterns Adliya & Amwaj are showing the screensings, while LNT (the pub above Lantern’s in Adliya) will be serving free nibbles during the matches and have prizes for guessing the winner.

Beef Garden

Seef’s Beef Garden are putting up screens and will be the perfect place to chill with a beer, a pizza and the games.

Four Seasons

Last but not least, Four Seasons are going to put on a fantastic World Cup screening experience it seems and I’m super excited about it. The ‘Stadium at Four Seasons’ will be a large pop-up tent created for the tournament. There will be a massive screen plus another 160 LCD screens, grandstand-style seating, lounge-style seats with bean bags, and special standing fan zone areas. Food will include pizza, korean sandwiches, bao buns and much more.

Check with them regarding pricing, which ranges from 10-20 BHD depending on the dates, times etc
