Welcome to Petiole, Bahrain's first zero waste supermarket.
Located in Janabiya's District 1 Mall (a little tricky to access, but worth it for this store). Petiole also has a vegan cafe upstairs/outdoors and offers zero waste shopping to conscious Bahrain residents.
I’ve always enjoyed taking my own containers, filling up with exactly what I need and generally having as little food or packaging waste. So this place is ideal.
They have a fantastic range of grains, pulses, and legumes. Plus, snacks, nibbles, and bathroom items (shampoos, hand sanitizer etc) you can fill too. I spotted their own mini bakery section and loved that there were plenty of samples to try as I walked around the shop.
