Marmalade Baked Halloumi

The simplest, easiest recipe for halloumi...why did no one ever tell me how good this would be!? 4 ingredients, amazing flavours.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 Block Halloumi
  • Bunch Herbs, such a rosemary or thyme Fresh
  • 2 tbsp Marmalade or preserve
  • 1 Lemon

Instructions
 

  • Slice the halloumi, put aside
  • Add 2 tablespoons marmalade, juice of one lemon and the herbs (a tablespoon full) in a bowl and stir
  • On a low temperature, heat the marmalade mixture up so that it softens. Do this for about 5 minutes.
  • Put your halloumi slices on a plate or tray, pour over the marinade, cover and leave in the fridge. Ideal time about 2-3 hours.
  • Remove from fridge and pan-fry or bbq the halloumi slices for about 4 minutes on each side.
  • Enjoy!
