Here are three Norfolk restaurants that I am visiting on rotation right now:
Blanca Food & Wine
Blanca is an unassuming dining spot where the focus is on seasonal ingredients and paired back deliciousness. Head to the bar seats and watch the kitchen in action or grab a table inside or at one of their new outdoors tables.
The menu here is carefully curated, changing frequently to reflect the best produce each season has to offer. On my last visit I fell in love with a sungold tomato and scallop dish, gobbled up the complimentary fresh breads and then was in awe at their freshly made pastas. Of course down it all with their fab selection of wine and make sure to finish with their desserts. This spot is a true Norfolk gem.
Don’t miss: Ask for recommendations on wine pairings; the team’s choices are just as inspired as the food itself.

Ilo Bistro
Brand new on the dining scene and on a corner plot, right near one of my favourite cobbled streets (Botetourt Street), This elegant and low key restaurant has a concise, curated and excellent menu. Why not order a bunch of small plates to share with friends/your date.
From savoury loukoumades with a modern twist to artfully arranged vegetable dishes and house-made pastas, each dish is a work of art! The team at Ilo are innovative, combining ingredients in unexpected ways to create memorable dishes.
Don’t miss: Try the savory loukoumades with Serrano ham, honey, and sesame, or the chilled shrimp with avocado and grapefruit. Plus their homemade pasta dishes are a must-try (I never turn down a lamb ragu, and you shouldn't either!)

Codex
Codex hits the spot for a quick drink and small bite or an indulgent full on meal. I love their eclectic and varied menu, unique options and quality. We stopped by for some sharing dishes, before heading to a wine tasting at Vino Culture close-by.
From the nduja whipped ricotta and buttery sourdough (divine), to the lightly tempura-d oyster mushrooms and savoury tart. Our bites and cocktails were all top-notch. Can't recommend this place enough.
