Brunches may be a dime a dozen in Bahrain, but excellent ones can be a rare find. My brunch expectations are sky-high (naturally!), covering everything from ambiance and food variety to quality and beverages. La Med’s Friday brunch ticks all the list.
With many brunches offering a ‘copy paste’ menu of similar dishes, cheesy cover bands and more, La Med stands out with its unusual choice of dishes (German food!) including pretzels, spaetzle, schnitzel, plus a smoked salmon platter featuring an impressive selection of about 5 or 6 types of salmon.
My British food box was ticked with their Beef Wellington plus I got to try plenty of other accoutrements; oysters, sushi, desserts, cheeses, and more.
Top it off with live music, a terrace perfect for kicking back with a dessert or two (or three, or four!) and an attentive team. Looking for a place to head over the festive season? take visitors when they are in town? Then La Med is just the spot.
