After an impromptu decision to explore Jacksonville, Florida, I'm here to report that this city is a hidden gem sparkling with culinary delights and gorgeous ocean views.
Seaside Satisfaction at Dockside Seafood
Pro tip: Skip breakfast and head here for 11.30am before the lines get super long. You’ll spot local delicacies like ‘gator tail’ and more classic options like shrimp po’boys. My favourite was easily the Mahi Reuben on thick rye, a twist on the classic that’s as delicious as it sounds.
Catch a Game
A visit to watch the Shrimps play baseball is as fun a night as can be. Head to Intuition Brewery for a pre drink, try a ‘walking taco’ at the game and make sure to grab some shrimp merch before you leave.
A Feast for the Senses at O-ku
Head to their window seats for some seriously great people watching. Make sure to order the creme de la creme nigiri with otoro, uni and caviar, the feugo makimono with spicy tuna and yellowtail hamachi kama. Though pretty much everything on their menu is a fail-safe.
Beach Pizza Please
What’s better than a day at the beach, a pizza at the beach! If you’re at Max beach then stroll down to V Pizza and pick up a pie or two before taking it to the gorgeous white sand beaches for some .
Thank you for the info!
