Persian Kebab Digi (Pan Made)

A childhood favourite of mine, this easy to make Persian kebab dish is an easy to make, crowd pleaser!

  • 500 grams Ground beef
  • 1 Onion (1 small or half a large) grated
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Saffron optional


  • Grate the onions into a bowl and squeeze any excess water out
  • Add the ground beef to the bow
  • Add the turmeric, salt & pepper to taste and if you have a tablespoon of bloomed saffron (in water). Though the latter is optional.
  • Now mix the ingredients really well together, until perfectly combined
  • Get a pan and spray it lightly with oil, then place your meat in a layer on it. Cook on a low to medium heat, cover with a lid and leave for about 8-9 minutes.
  • Once cooked, slice the kebab meat onto a plate. Serve with basmati rice, grilled tomatoes & onions, and any other trimmings!
